Local Lifestyle

Located just 35 miles from San Francisco, the recent population growth and land development can be attributed to the many families and individuals who work in the nearby business districts. Tired of the noise and traffic of the big city, they have begun migrating out of the cramped city residences and into more spacious and private homes. There may be less distraction here, but there is no shortage of things to do around Dublin.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Experience South American cuisine in a bright and festive mural-splashed dining room at Oyo. Sushi and Japanese cuisine are served in a modern setting at Amakara. Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too is an excellent spot for a traditional Italian dinner in a cozy family atmosphere.

Trendy and fashionable stores can be found in the two-story indoor Stoneridge Mall and the open-air shopping plazas like Dublin Place and Valley Center Shopping Center. Some of the brands you can find here include Macy's and Sephora.

Things to Do

The residential communities here have many parks and recreational areas that offer a variety of activities. Bicyclists, hikers, and horseback riders will find the park trails provide a variety of skill levels to choose from and beautiful scenic views. Emerald Glen Park hosts free summer concerts in the park's amphitheater, and The Wave is a family water park where you can beat the heat. For the cold weather months, there is Dublin Iceland Ice Skating Rink. The holidays are when Dublin gets active and the events get started.

The Saint Patrick's Day parade is held annually downtown, and residents are encouraged to participate in float creation. This is a great event for the whole family to experience. The Ghosts of Dublin Event includes flashlight tours of the historic Dublin Cemetery, storytelling, and other frightful festivities in October. The Wave gets in on the Halloween fun with the floating pumpkin patch and pumpkin decorating contests. Christmas time in Dublin is just as eventful, with a Deck the Homes contest, a tree lighting ceremony, and breakfast with Santa.
